Freewheeling
„Freewheeling“-  is the name given to carving with Inline-skates on an Asphalt piste. This trendy type of sport allows Inline-skaters and Ski fans alike the opportunity to experience the joy of Skiing in the middle of Summer. In Freewheeling, it's not about the thrill of speed but about controlled movement on Asphalt. Specially secured streets in the Nockberg region lend themselves perfectly to the sport.
With the necessary protective equipment and the right schooling in the technique, it soon moves quickly from flat ground to more steep terrain. Definitely worth a try!
Running – Tips and Tricks
Prepare your circulation and muscles for training with slow-running or walking and functional exercises  (warm-up) beforehand. Mobilise your legs, torso and shoulder muscles though gentle stretching exercises to avoid initial tensing and cramping. Begin gently and on a level stretch of ground!

How fast, how long and how often should I run?
As a beginner, you can't run slow enough. If it becomes too difficult to run longer than 5 minutes continuously, then run for only 2 to 3 minutes and walk for one minute. Try to achieve at least half an hour in total.
If you are already an experienced fitness runner, first increase the length of your running course and then increase,as appropriate, the intensity.

Would you like to learn how to do bow-shooting? Learn under the supervision of professional instructors. The Archery facility is located just a few minutes walk away from the lake and is regarded as the perfect balance to other types of sport.


Sportschule Krainer - Wulschnig Nordic Walking – The summer variation of cross country skiing

What is Nordic Walking?
The Fat-burner- Trend: walking with sticks. The form of walking originally derived from cross-country skiing stimulates fat burning even further. Sticks or poles force the arms and the upper-body to work pro-actively. This acts to  promote good overall body toning and burns calories, relaxes the back and reduces pressure on the knee joints.

How does Nordic Walking work?
The basic technique of NW is the same as the movement involved in classic cross-country skiing. The sticks are pointed diagonally backwards while swinging the arms in a controlled-fashion. Because of the  Evolution- straps, the stick grips need not be held during the training session.

What are the benefits of Nordic Walking?
NW trains the coronary and circulative systems as well as uses 90% of all muscles (Jogging in comparison uses max. 45%). Consequently, the calorie consumption is high.
